Pete the Plumber – Character Insight

I have decided that I am going to do a whole new series of characters. They will be characters representing different types of jobs we have here in Canada. The possibilities of the types of characters that I can create will be endless.

By doing these types of characters, it will help children to explore the different possibilities they have as career choices. It will also help them realize the diversity of jobs that are available in Canada.

Pete the Plumber has a very important job that he does each and every day. He probably has one of the dirtiest jobs ever. However, being a plumber is a very respectful job and one that Pete the Plumber takes pride in. Pete the Plumber’s job is definitely not one that is glamorous, but it is definitely one that is needed.

I am very pleased with how my drawing of Pete the Plumber turned out. I believe he is one of the best drawings I have done to date. I can’t wait to get started on some of the other characters in this series. It is going to be a lot of fun.

Character Pit

Pit Questions and Answers

  1. Which character has a jealous tendency?

    – Being a police officer, Neon Cop would like honesty in people. Pete the Plumber would like honesty too because he is honest to his customers. If he can’t fix something, he will let the customer know right away instead of wasting their time. Neon Coop would dislike criminals. That was one reason he became a police officer because he wanted to rid Storyland of crime. Pete the Plumber dislikes people who lie to him. He does have some customers that tell him they are going to pay him for work that he has done on a certain date and they never show up with the money. He also doesn’t like having to chase people down for the money.
  9. Will I be writing future stories about these two characters?

To sum up the character pit between Pete the Plumber and Neon Cop, these two men both have very important jobs in Storyland. I think they will do a lot to keep the integrity of Storyland free and clear of trouble.
