Bogart the Boat Salesman – Character Insight
I created Bogart the Boat Salesman as part of my Canadian Trades/Professions Character Challenge. Boat salesmen are a very important profession in Canada, especially with all the lakes Canada has.
Bogart is a very important character in Storyland because to him, safety comes first. Boating can be dangerous and Bogart has very strict rules when it comes to anyone taking a boat out into the water from his marina. Everyone must wear a life jacket and alcohol consumption or drug use is strictly forbidden. He wants everyone to enjoy themselves, safely.
My goal for this character is to show that you can still have fun and enjoy yourself, even when playing safe.

– I think Donald the Delivery Truck Driver would have the jealous tendency because Bogart is a successful business owner and he gets to enjoy the mountains whenever he wants. - Which character have I written about the most?
– Donald the Delivery Truck Driver was created about six months ago, so I have written about him the most. - Which character feels like they are treated fairly?
– Both of these characters would feel like they are being treated fairly on Storyland. Donald may have a bit of a jealous streak over Bogart but would never let that stand in the way of developing a new friendship with Bogart. - Do these two characters like each other?
– I do think Bogart and Donald would get along very well together. - Which character is closer to my heart?
– I think Bogart would be closer to my heart because he lives in the mountains and gets to be out on the lake in his boat whenever he can. This is the perfect life for me. - How are these characters sim

– These two characters are similar because they both want to succeed in their chosen professions. - How are these characters different from one another?
– These two characters are different in that Bogart owns his own business. Donald works for a delivery company. - How do these two characters feel about being Canadian?
– Both of these two characters love the fact they are Canadian. Bogart loves that he can breathe in fresh mountain air every morning and Donald loves that he can make a decent wage in Canada to look after his family. - How

– Bogart is single so he only has to worry about himself. Donald does have two children and his wife to look after and he would do anything for them that was within his powers. - W

– Absolutely!
To sum up the character pit between Bogart and Donald, both of these characters are very honest, hard-working characters.
