Apartment 19 – Peanut Butter Christmas

Lost Christmas Tree walked down the hallway of the Christmas Building. He saw the door to Apartment 19. He knocked on the door. A few minutes later, he was surprised to see who was at the door.

“Hello,” said a real-life peanut plant.

“Hello,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “My name is Lost Christmas Tree. I am wondering if you are waiting for a Christmas tree delivery.”

“No,” said the peanut. “My name is Peanut. I was going to just hang a few Christmas decorations off my limbs.”

“That sounds just fine,” laughed Lost Christmas Tree. “I see no reason why you can’t do that.”

“I am a peanut bush of sorts,” said Peanut.

“Indeed,” said Lost Christmas Tree. Lost Christmas Tree was going to walk away. He did need to find out which apartment he is supposed to spend Christmas at but Peanut’s brightly coloured kitchen wallpaper caught his eye.

“That is beautiful wallpaper,” said Lost Christmas Tree.

“Oh you mean my strawberry wallpaper,” said Peanut.

“Yes,” said Lost Christmas Tree.

“They say peanuts and strawberries go together,” said Peanut.

“They do,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Peanut butter and strawberry jam.”

“Yes of course,” laughed Peanut. “I hope I am not going to be turned into peanut butter for a very long time.”

“I hope not either,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Well I do have to go. I have to find out which apartment I am supposed to spend Christmas at. Merry Christmas!”

“Yes,” said Peanut. “Merry Christmas to you as well.”

Moral of this Story:

  • It is fun to be creative at Christmas.
  • Example: Peanut was going to put Christmas decorations on himself. He is a peanut bush, after all.
