Missy Big Words – Confused

Missy Big Words was in the grocery store with her dad. Her dad was looking for the frozen food section. He wanted to buy Missy Big Words some ice cream.
“What are you looking for?” asked Missy Big Words, growing tired of walking up and down the aisles.
“I am looking for the frozen food section,” said Daddy.
“Isn’t it at the far corner of the grocery store?” asked Missy Big Words.
“That is what I thought,” said Daddy. “But the baked good are there.”
“I am so confused,” said Missy Big Words.
“Now there is a big word,” said Daddy.
“Confused is a big word,” said Missy Big Words, proudly. “It means unable to think clearly.”
“That is right,” said Daddy. “I am so proud of you.”
Daddy and Missy Big Words walked around the store with a confused look on their face.
“I could have sworn the frozen food section was in that back corner,” said Missy Big Words. “Remember that time we bought that chocolate ice-cream.”
“That was about two weeks ago,” said Daddy. “And yes, I do remember. It was in that back corner.”

The grocery store manager just happened to walk by and saw the confused looks on Missy Big Words and Daddy’s faces.
“You look confused,” said the store manager. “Are you by any chance looking for the frozen food section?”
“Yes,” said Daddy. “We could have sworn it was in the back corner where the bakery now is.”
“You are right,” said the store manager. “Because it is summer, we moved it up to the front of the store. Sorry about how it made you confused.”

“Thank you,” said Daddy.

Daddy and Missy Big Words purchased some very delicious looking strawberry ice-cream and they went home to enjoy it.

“I am confused,” said Missy Big Words.

“What about?” asked Daddy.

“Well,” said Missy Big Words. “I like strawberry ice-cream but I thought your favourite was butterscotch.”

“It is,” said Daddy.

“Then why did we buy strawberry,” said Missy Big Words.

“I bought you strawberry so that you could have the kind you like,” said Daddy.

“That was very kind of you,” said Missy Big Words, kissing Daddy on the cheek.
