A Mother’s Day Mystical Sanctuary for Mother Elf

“Okay, children,” said Daddy Elf, as soon as Mother Elf had left for her office. “I have the perfect plan for Mother Elf for Mother’s Day, but I will need your help. We only have a couple of days left.”

The two elf children, Jason and Annie, glowed with excitement. They were only too happy to help out.

“What are we going to be doing?” asked Jason.

“Is this a surprise?” said Annie.

“It is a surprise,” Jason admonished his younger sibling. “Don’t you go telling Mother Elf about any of this!”

“Jason is right,” explained Daddy Elf. “We don’t want to ruin Mother Elf’s Mother’s Day surprise. Now, what I thought is that we could turn Mother Elf’s garden into a mystical sanctuary for her.”

“Oh, she will love it!” cried Annie, not really knowing what a mystical sanctuary was but liking how it sounded.

“So today, we are going to lay down some stone tiles and build a little pond,” Daddy Elf explained. “Then we will build a screen wall. Then we are going to buy some brand-new patio furniture, a few shrubs, and lots of pretty flowers.”

Jason and Annie could hardly contain their excitement.

“What is first?” asked Jason.

“I want you and Annie to clear everything out of that area,” said Daddy Elf. “While you two do that, I will mix the cement, make sure everything is level, and then lay the stone tiles.”

The elves worked so hard on their surprise for Mother Elf. Daddy Elf was a little concerned that Mother Elf would see what they were up to. However, she was so exhausted from her days at the office that she ate dinner, read a story to the children, and went straight to sleep.

Mother’s Day came, and Mother Elf had a rare day off. The children and Daddy Elf were acting a little strange, but she just chalked it up to them being happy that she was home for the entire day.

“Come,” said Daddy Elf, carrying a tray full of breakfast goodies. “It is time for breakfast.”

“Why are you carrying a tray?” asked Mother Elf. “Are we not eating at the table?”

“Follow us,” said Jason and Annie, taking Mother Elf by the hand.

“Happy Mother’s Day!” screamed the children with delight as they approached the new garden.

Mother Elf gasped with delight when she saw it.

“What is this?” Mother Elf cried with joy.

“This is your mystical sanctuary,” said Annie.

The garden was a vision of tranquility, with vibrant flowers blooming amidst lush greenery, a serene pond reflecting the clear blue sky, and a cozy nook with comfortable patio furniture inviting one to relax and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. Mother Elf was overwhelmed with emotion, her eyes brimming with tears of happiness as she embraced her family.

“Thank you, my dearest ones,” she whispered. “This is the most beautiful gift I could have ever imagined. You have created a paradise where I can find solace and joy.”

And so, the mystical sanctuary became a cherished haven for Mother Elf, a testament to the love and creativity of her family, who had worked together to create a perfect Mother’s Day surprise.
