Cutie’s Date with JD

“Why are you dressed up?” asked Arrow, seeing his sister, Cutie in a dress.

“I am going out for dinner with JD,” said Cutie.

“Does JD know?” asked Arrow.

“Yes of course,” said Cutie.

“I don’t get it,” said Arrow, confused. “Why would JD go on a date with a cat? Wait a minute! JD doesn’t know it is you he is going out with, does he?”

“He sort of knows,” said Cutie.

“What do you mean, sort of?” asked Arrow. “Cutie, what have you done?”

“Remember this morning Jesse told JD that he should be more careful with the girls he goes out with,” said Cutie.

“I remember,” said Arrow.

“I texted JD and told him someone cute wants to go out with him,” said Cutie.

“Oh poor JD,” said Arrow.

“I am meeting him at the restaurant,” said Cutie.

“I am coming too,” said Arrow. “This I have to see.”

Arrow and Cutie walked to the restaurant. Cutie saw JD get out of his car.

“Hi JD,” said Cutie.

“Hello Cutie and Arrow,” said JD. “It is nice to see you again. I do have to go though. I am meeting my date here for dinner.”

“Cutie is your date,” said Arrow, enjoying every minute of this. “You know, cute as in Cutie.”

“Oh my!” exclaimed JD, putting two and two together.

JD couldn’t believe what was happening.

“I sure do get some strange dates,” said JD.

JD looked over at Cutie. He saw the disappointed look in Cutie’s face and she looked as if she was about to cry. He didn’t have the heart to tell Cutie he didn’t want to go out with her.

“That was up until our date,” said JD.

Cutie smiled from ear to ear. It would have broken her heart if JD had have said no.

“I’m not buying dinner for your brother though,” said JD, looking at the size of Arrow’s tummy. “I think he could eat me out of house and home.”

“He will be going home now,” said Cutie, waving goodbye to Arrow and giving him the evil eye. “He only came to laugh at me because I am sure he thought you would turn down our date.”

“He is a bully,” said JD.

“He can be,” said Cutie, happy that she could show Arrow that JD did want to go to dinner with her.
