Apartment 21 – A Gran Christmas

Lost Christmas Tree walked down the hallway in the Christmas Building. He was still trying to find out which apartment he is supposed to spend Christmas at. He saw the door to Apartment 21. He knocked on it.

“Hello,” said an eccentric old lady, wearing a brightly coloured green dress with plastic flowers in her hair. “How can I help you?”

“My name is Lost Christmas Tree,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “Are you waiting for a Christmas tree delivery?”

“Of course not,” said the old lady, pointing to an undecorated tall tree wrapped in burlap that was standing up against a very colourful wallpapered wall of flowers. “My grandson, Daniel, just brought this tree to me. He is a very sweet young man with a heart of gold. My name is Franny Granny.”

“It is nice to meet you,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “That is a beautiful tree that your grandson picked out.”

“Yes,” said Franny Granny. “I do agree.”

“With your obvious colourful taste,” said Lost Christmas Tree, glancing at the wallpaper. “This will be a very beautiful tree.”

“Some people say I go overboard with colour,” said Franny Granny. “Especially at Christmas.”

“Don’t worry what others think,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I say the more colour the better.”

“Oh I don’t worry what others think,” said Franny Granny.

“You have a very Merry Christmas,” said Lost Christmas Tree. “I do have to still find the apartment I am supposed to spend Christmas at.”

“Merry Christmas to you as well,” said Franny Granny, waving goodbye.

Moral of this Story:

  • The more colour the better, especially at Christmas.
  • Example: Lost Christmas Tree knew Franny Granny’s Christmas tree would be very colourful.
