Scrunchie is Spooked

“I am going to dress up for Halloween as a skeleton,” said Scrunchie’s 87 year old, Aunt Mabel. “I think it will be fun.”

Aunt Mabel put her costume on and then went into the kitchen to start cooking dinner.

“What smells so good?” asked Scrunchie, coming into the kitchen.

Scrunchie took a look over at the stove. He was expecting to see Aunt Mabel but instead, what he saw was a skeleton.

“Oh my!” screamed Scrunchie, who was frightened. “Where is my Aunt Mabel? What have you done with her?”

“Scrunchie,” said Aunt Mabel. “I am right here.”

“Oh dear!” screamed Scrunchie. “Aunt Mabel, did the skeleton eat you? I will save you. Hold on!”

“Scrunchie,” said Aunt Mabel, taking off her skeleton mask. “I am dressed up as a skeleton for Halloween.”

“I knew that,” said Scrunchie, not convincing at all.

“If you say so,” said Aunt Mabel, knowing that Scrunchie really was spooked.

Moral of this Story:

  • There is no need to hide the fact that you are spooked.
  • Example: Scrunchie doesn’t want Aunt Mabel to know she spooked him with her skeleton costume.
