Forgetful Fred Forgot it was Summer

“What are you doing in your bathing suit?” asked Forgetful Fred, when he noticed his wife, Sarah, was in the kitchen wearing her blue striped bathing suit.

Forgetful Fred was at the hall closet, putting on his winter coat and boots.

“What are you doing putting on your winter coat and boots?” asked Sarah. “It is the middle of summer.”

“I am cold,” said Forgetful Fred. “If it is this cold in the house, then it must be really cold outside.”

“I think you need to go outside,” said Sarah.

Forgetful Fred opened the front door and within minutes he was undoing the zipper on his winter coat.

“I don’t understand,” said Forgetful Fred. “Why was it so cold in the house?”

“Oh Forgetful Fred,” said Sarah, giving him a kiss on his cheek. “We have the air conditioner on.”

Forgetful Fred quietly went inside, took off his winter coat and boots and went upstairs to put his shorts on.

“Let’s go to the pool,” said Forgetful Fred.

“Good idea,” said Sarah.
