The Winds Blow

”Spot,” said Fawn, almost out of breath. ”Grab your hat and run to the barn!”

Spot bent down to pick up her hat that had been blown off her head from a strong gust of wind.

”What’s going on?” asked Spot, who was a little frightened. ”Why is it so windy?”

”Look behind you,” said Fawn.

”Oh my!” exclaimed Spot, now running as fast as she could, dropping her hat in the process. ”It’s a tornado!”

Fawn, knowing how much Spot’s hat meant to her, bent down to pick it up and then ran to the barn as fast as he could.

Spot, who was inside the barn at this time, quickly shut the barn door as soon as Fawn was inside.

”What took you so long?” asked Spot. ”It’s dangerous out there!”

”I had to go and get your hat,” said Fawn. ”I know how much it means to you.”

”Oh Fawn,” cried Spot. ”You risked your life for my hat. Oh you are so wonderful.”

Spot gave Fawn a kiss on the cheek.

“Oh, it was nothing!” exclaimed Fawn, blushing.
