Santa Claus – Character Insight

I created my Santa Claus character for my Canadian Trades/Professions Story Challenge. We actually don’t have an actual Santa Claus job in Canada because the real Santa Claus still lives in the North Pole still and he does still show up on Christmas Eve to deliver our gifts and eat our plates of cookies we set out for him.

We, in Canada, are definitely not replacing the real Santa Claus. However, we do look for part- time Santa’s to help fill in at the malls when the real Santa can’t make it. We do also look for Santa helpers. Santa helpers are normally not a paid position. Santa helpers are volunteers.

To become a Santa helper, you would need to be kind and generous. You would need to be able to get along well with others and you would need to be helpful.

Some Santa helpers wear a Santa suit but there are so many that don’t and some of those that don’t, they don’t want to be recognized for being Santa’s helper. They just want to help out from the bottom of their hearts.

Pit Questions and Answers

  1. Which character has a jealous tendency?
    – Evil Elf would definitely be the one to have a jealous tendency out of these two characters. It is sometimes Evil Elf’s jealousy that gets him into trouble
  2. Which character have I written about the most?
    – I have written about Evil Elf the most because he is an older character on Storyland.
  3. Which character feels like they are treated fairly?
    – I think Santa Claus would feel he is the one being treated fairly because he holds a lot of respect in the hearts of the many, many people he has helped in Storyland.
  4. Do these two characters like each other?
    – Because Evil Elf is so evil, no, I do not think he would like Santa Claus. Santa Claus on the other hand likes everyone, including Evil Elf.
  5. Which character is closer to my heart?
    – I do think Santa Claus is closer to my heart because he is kind and generous. I don’t like evil and mischievous people.
  6. How are these characters similar to one another?
    – These two characters are similar because they do both claim to be from the North Pole.
  7. How are these characters different from one another?
    – The difference between these two characters is that Santa Claus does not have an evil bone in his body. However, Evil Elf is pure evil.
  8. Will I be writing future stories about these two characters?
    – Absolutely!

To sum up the character pit between Santa Claus and Evil Elf, hopefully some of Santa Claus’ good behavioural traits will rub off on Evil Elf. I think somewhere deep inside of Evil Elf, there is a good elf. We just have to wait for him to show us his good side.
