Bogart the Boat Salesman – Character Insight
I created Bogart the Boat Salesman as part of my Canadian Trades/Professions Character Challenge. Boat salesmen are a very important profession in Canada, especially with all the lakes Canada has.
Meet Bogart, the cheerful Boat Salesman from Kelowna. He’s not just any salesman; he’s the proud owner of a beautiful marina that’s been his for 25 years. Bogart loves his life by the water, where he’s as single as a solo sailboat and as happy as a clam at high tide.
Every morning, Bogart wakes up to the sight of a majestic mountain. He fills his lungs with the crisp mountain air, feeling grateful for another bright day.
In Storyland, Bogart is known for something very special: he always puts safety first. He knows that while boating is a barrel of fun, it can also be risky. That’s why he has some golden rules at his marina: everyone must wear a life jacket, and there’s no room for alcohol or drugs on his boats. Bogart’s number one wish is for everyone to have a whale of a time, but in the safest way possible.
Bogart’s story teaches us a valuable lesson: fun and safety can sail together in harmony. So, let’s all be like Bogart and make sure we play it safe while having buckets of fun on our adventures!
