Christopher Corn’s First Anniversary at Loud Garden

“How about this?” asked Christopher Corn, strumming on his guitar. “I love Loud Garden, it helps my heart mend. I love Loud Garden, I never want music to end.”

“Christopher!” cried Mrs. Tomato. “I love those lyrics.”

“Thank you,” said Christopher. “I appreciate your input.”

“Do you realize it is almost a year that we have been at Loud Garden?” asked Mrs. Tomato.

Christopher’s face turned ashen. He became very sad all of a sudden.

“I am sorry,” said Mrs. Tomato, noticing Christopher’s change in demeanor. “I shouldn’t have said anything. I didn’t mean to upset you.”

“It is okay,” said Christopher. “I just miss my life on Earth and it makes me sad when I think about how many people I hurt when I ended my life on Earth.”

“I can understand the hurt you are feeling,” said Mrs. Tomato. “However, at least here at Loud Garden, we are still able to create music.”

“Yes,” said Christopher. “Music is the most important thing in my life now. It is what wakes me up. It is what I breathe for. I just wish the people on Earth could hear it.”

“I think that with the advancements in technology these days,” said Mrs. Tomato. “That will happen.”

“And when it does,” said Christopher, strumming on his guitar again. “I want to make sure I have created enough music to last a lifetime.”

Moral of this Story:

  • Music is a great tool for healing.
  • Example: Christopher Corn was upset because this was his first anniversary after taking his own life on Earth. He wished people on Earth could hear the music he created in Loud Garden.
