Victor is a reclusive monster who embraces who he is rather than trying to fit into the world around him. After being turned into a monster by a spell put on him, Victor was forced to leave his family behind. Although he could have stayed with them, he made the heartbreaking decision to leave and never see them again because he feared his two children would be bullied for having a monster for a father. He did not want that kind of life for his children. Today, he prefers his solitude and is entirely comfortable existing as a monster, living life quietly and on his own terms.

In the stories I write about Victor, I have always shown him to be a recluse who genuinely prefers being a monster. After a spell turned him into a monster, he was forced to leave his family. Losing them and knowing he would never see them again broke his heart, but he could not bear the thought of his two children being bullied for having a monster for a father. He gave up his family life so his children wouldn’t have to suffer that fate.
