Jayden and the Spring Bunnies

Jayden looked out her kitchen window. She liked what she saw. She saw that the grass was green and the sun was shining. It was spring and that made Jayden happy.

“It is a beautiful spring day,” said Jayden to herself.

Jayden decided she would spend time in her garden.

She knew she had some weeds to pull. While Jayden was in the garden she noticed some bunnies hopping around. Jayden loved watching them. She loved their long floppy ears and their little twitchy nose. She thought they were adorable.

“Such cute spring bunnies,” said Jayden.

Jayden went into the garden shed to grab her shovel and when she returned, she didn’t think those adorable spring bunnies were so adorable any more. She saw them eating some of the flowers she had growing.

“Oh you bad, bad bunnies,” scolded Jayden. “Why are you eating my flowers?”

The bunnies looked at Jayden with their sad little faces. They were very sorry for what they did.

“Oh stop with the sad faces,” said Jayden. “I am sorry for scolding you. I’ll tell you what. I will give you some carrots and other vegetables as long as you leave my flowers alone.”

The bunnies smiled. They agreed to leave Jayden’s flowers alone. They were very happy when Jayden gave them some fresh carrots and other vegetables to eat. Jayden was happy the bunnies left her flowers alone.
