Lil’ Rebel’s Rebellious Father’s Day
“Pattie,” said Lil’ Rebel to her baby sister. “Today is Father’s Day. Let’s surprise Daddy.”
“Okay,” said Pattie. “How are we going to surprise him?”
“He wanted us to clean up the house,” said Lil’ Rebel. “We could also clean up our bedrooms.”
“Good idea,” said Pattie.
“You start in the living room and I am going to clean up my room,” said Lil’ Rebel.
Pattie cleaned up the living room. Daddy was in his study.
“Where is your sister?” asked Daddy.
“She is upstairs,” said Pattie.
“That is just great,” said Daddy. “She is supposed to be helping you dean .”
Daddy went upstairs. He was angry that Lil’ Rebel left Pattie alone to clean the living room by herself while she obviously went back to bed.
“Lil’ Rebel,” said Daddy, angrily, knocking on her bedroom door. ”Come here!”
Lil’ Rebel opened her bedroom door. Daddy was shocked to see it was clean.
“I also cleaned Pattie’s room,” said Lil’ Rebel. “Happy Father’s Day!”
“So you weren’t sleeping?” said Daddy.
“No,” said Lil’ Rebel. “Pattie and I wanted to surprise you.”
“Thank you,” said Daddy. “You definitely surprised me. I thought you were just being rebellious.”
“I was just being kind,” said Lil’ Rebel.
“I think this deserves dinner out,” said Daddy.
“Goodie,” shouted Lil’ Rebel.
Daddy took the family out for dinner for Father’s Day. They all had a wonderful time and it was nice to come home to a clean house.
“This was a perfect Father’s Day,” said Daddy, happily.
