Fawn and Spot are Thankful for Each Other

It was Thanksgiving weekend in Calgary, Alberta. Fawn, a brown and white coloured cow, was outside playing in the field. There were a lot of prairie dog holes in this particular field and Fawn had been warned several times to stay out of it.

“Oh dear!” exclaimed Spot, a black and white coloured cow. “Fawn is going to get himself hurt.”

Spot walked over to the field. She yelled at Fawn but she was having so much fun that he didn’t take any notice to anything around him, including Spot.

“I don’t want Fawn to hurt himself,” thought Spot.

Spot tried everything she could think of to get Fawn’s attention but nothing helped. Finally, Spot went back to the barn and grabbed a can of orange pop. She took that out to the field and Fawn spotted it right away.

“You know you aren’t supposed to be out in this field,” scolded Spot.

“I know,” said Fawn. “But, I was having so much fun.”

“I don’t know what I would ever do if you were ever hurt” said Spot.

“I feel the same way about you,” said Fawn.

“Come on,” said Spot. “Let’s go have our Thanksgiving dinner.”

“First,” said Fawn, giving Spot a kiss. “I just want to tell you that I am very thankful to have you in my life. You have always looked out for me and I appreciate it.”

“That is because I love you,” said Spot. “I am also very thankful to have you in my life.”
