Fawn and Spot’s Spring Cleaning
“Guess what?” asked Spot, seeing cobwebs and dust everywhere.
“What?” asked Fawn, just waking up.
“It is time for spring cleaning,” said Spot, grabbing a mop and bucket. “The barn is filthy. There, are cobwebs and dust everywhere.”
“Have fun,” said Fawn, pulling the blankets up over his head. “I am going back to sleep.”
“Come on Fawn,” said Spot. “This is a perfect day for spring cleaning.”
“What is so perfect about it? “asked Fawn. “It is pouring rain outside.”
“I am aware of that,” said Spot. “A rainy day is, a perfect day to spend indoors.”
“I guess that is true,” said Fawn.” But, can’t we wait for a different rainy day? I need more sleep.”
“Suit yourself,” said Spot. “I will do it myself.”
Fawn rolled over while Spot left the room.
“Oh look what I found,” said Spot. “I found a ten dollar bill. It is funny what you find when you do spring cleaning.”
“What do you want me to do?” asked Fawn, getting out of bed.
“You can do the dusting,” said Spot, handing Fawn the duster.
Fawn actually had fun spring cleaning with Spot. He never actually found any money but Spot did buy him an ice-cream cone.”
“Can we do some more spring cleaning on the next rainy day?” asked Fawn.
“We sure can,” said Spot.
