I created Florence the Florist for the Canadian Trades/Professions Story Challenge. Flower shops are a very important part of the Canadian retail sector because they help to beautify our country.

In the Storyland Canada – Garden World, there’s a cozy little flower shop filled with the most beautiful blooms you’ve ever seen. This is where Florence the Florist spends her days, surrounded by a rainbow of petals and leaves.

Florence has a special talent for picking just the right flowers to create magical arrangements that make people smile. She believes that her flower shop brings a splash of color and joy to the world, especially when things seem a little gray.

Although Florence lives alone and sometimes feels lonely, her heart is full of love for her flowers. She sips her favorite dandelion tea and dreams of her flower shop spreading peace and harmony everywhere.

She’s never been married, but she’s married to her work, caring for her plants with such dedication that everyone can see how much she wants her shop to succeed. And succeed it does, because Florence’s flower shop isn’t just a store; it’s a little piece of happiness, right there on the corner, sharing beauty with everyone who walks by.

And so, Florence the Florist keeps smiling, her shop a beacon of light in the city, reminding us all that even when we’re alone, we can still create something wonderful that brings people together.
