Little Crow Helps Baby Acorn
It was a beautiful autumn day. The leaves had just started to turn colour. Baby Acorn was playing outside on the patio.
“A crow!” cried Baby Acorn. “He is flying right by our tree. He is small for a crow though.”
“Hello there,” said the crow, seeing Baby Acorn playing on the patio. “My name is Little Crow.”
“My name is Baby Acorn,” said Baby Acorn. “It is nice to meet you. That is a fitting name for you.”
“Well,” said Little Crow. “I am little and I am a crow.”
“Yes,” agreed Baby. “You are. So, what do you do all day?”
“I like flying around,” said Little Crow.
“That sounds like fun,” said Baby Acorn.
“Yes,” said Little Crow. “It is fun. What do you do all day?”
“I like to play outside on the patio,” said Baby Acorn.
“That sounds like fun too,” said Little Crow. “Well, I have to go now. It is nice talking to you.”
Baby Acorn waved goodbye to Little Crow and while waving, he lost his balance. He fell off the branch. Little Crow saw him fall and he caught him before he hit the ground.
“Thank you,” said Baby Acorn, as he was able to fly around with Little Crow for a few minutes. “You were very quick to pick me up.”
“I might be small,” said Little Crow, laughing. “But I can be quick when I need to be.”
Little Crow carefully placed Baby Acorn back onto the branch he fell from.
“Did you like your flight?” asked Little Crow.
“Very much so,” said Baby Acorn, smiling.
