Veteran Phil Movie – Chapter 1

The movie for Veteran Phil is based on Chapter 1 of his story in Storycraft. Phil, a 95-year-old veteran, struggles to finish the memoir he promised his wartime comrades he would write because many of the dates and places have faded from his memory. With the encouragement and support of his wife Mary, he visits the local library, where historical military records help him rediscover important details about a river-crossing mission that had eluded him for fifty years. As the missing pieces of the story fall into place, Phil resumes writing with renewed purpose. However, his progress is interrupted when he discovers the name of a soldier who served under his command and died during that mission, yet whom he cannot remember at all. Determined to honor every man accurately, Phil realizes he must uncover the identity and story of this forgotten soldier before he can complete his memoir.
