New Years Building 2025 – Apartment 3 – Apple Monster
Apple Monster walked around his favorite apple tree, his footsteps crunching in the snow. The tree stood tall and proud, its branches etched against the pale winter sky like a delicate pen and ink drawing. Apple Monster’s eyes shone with affection as he inspected the tree, making sure there were no broken branches and that its roots were safely tucked away under the snow for the cold winter ahead.
As he walked, the crisp winter air filled his lungs, and the sweet scent of apple blossoms lingered in his memory, a promise of the joys to come. Apple Monster realized it was only a few days left before New Year’s, and he felt a thrill of excitement. He hoped his apple tree would thrive and supply him with all the apples he could ever want.
As he stood there, lost in thought, Apple Monster began to reflect on the past year. He remembered how Easter had come very early, and how he had worried that something was wrong with his apple tree because it hadn’t blossomed yet. Easter Lily and her friend Renee had reassured him, telling him to just have some patience. And then, a few weeks later, his apple tree had burst into bloom, its delicate pink blossoms filling the air with their sweet scent. Everything in the world had seemed right again.
Apple Monster’s thoughts then turned to the Annual Harvest Feast, where he had invited himself to join the ants. He remembered how he had let the ants make apple pie and applesauce, and how they had shared it with him. The memory of the warm, flaky pie crust and the tangy sweetness of the applesauce filled his mouth with water. But he also remembered how he had felt bad for taking advantage of the ants’ kindness.
As he stood there, lost in thought, Apple Monster heard a noise behind him. He turned to see Hop Out and Hop In smiling at him, their bright eyes shining with excitement. “This is a surprise,” said Apple Monster, his face breaking into a wide smile.
“We want to invite you to the New Years Building,” said Hop Out, his voice filled with enthusiasm.
“We know that you are ready to hop out of 2024 and hop into 2025,” added Hop In, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
Apple Monster’s heart leapt with excitement.
“Yes,” he said, his voice filled with eagerness. “I am ready, and I would love to go to the New Years Building!”
And with that, Apple Monster followed Hop Out and Hop In to the New Years Building. As they walked, the snowflakes fell gently around them, casting a magical spell over the scene. When they arrived at the building, Apple Monster’s eyes widened in wonder. The building was a kaleidoscope of colors, with streamers and balloons everywhere. The air was filled with music and laughter, and Apple Monster felt like he was in a dream.
He spent the evening enjoying music, all kinds of apple treats, and lots of dancing. As the clock struck midnight, and the crowd erupted in cheers and applause, Apple Monster knew that this was a New Year’s Eve he would never forget.
As he left the New Year’s Building, Apple Monster felt happy and fulfilled, knowing that he had been given a wonderful gift – the gift of a fresh start, and a chance to make this new year even better than the last. He looked up at the stars twinkling in the night sky, feeling grateful for the magical night he had just experienced. And as he drifted off to sleep, surrounded by the silence of the winter night, Apple Monster knew that he was ready to take on whatever the new year had in store for him.
