The movie for Prairie Kid is based on Chapter 1 of his story in Storycraft. Prairie Kid battles the unforgiving prairie sod in his dream to build a homestead, only to fail until a wild bison appears and effortlessly tears open the earth he couldn’t break; seizing the chance, he gently ropes the animal and uses it as a living plow, turning more ground in one evening than he could have managed in a week, but when dusk falls he’s left with both the fertile soil he desperately needed and a powerful, untamed companion he has no idea how to manage for the work still ahead.
