Baby Penguin is small, with short flippers, and until today had never gone further than the big rocks at the edge of the colony. Standing there before, it had wanted to keep going but turned back. This morning a silvery, half-see-through fish flickered under the ice and Baby Penguin followed it, past the big rocks and out of sight of the others. It walks by picking a direction and switching when the direction feels wrong. It is still chasing the fish.
