George Ladybug Stories
George Ladybug is a hippodamia parenthesis beetle with one seed to carry and a long way to go. Before he picked up the seed, he scouted the whole backyard and mapped his route. He found dry patches to rest on, grass clumps for cover, and an anthill near the fence to avoid. He also measured a puddle in his path at six beetle-lengths deep, about three inches. Someone, somewhere, told George that if he plants this seed in the dirt plot across the yard, it will grow into the tallest flower the world has ever seen. He believed them.
