Determined to find the original, perfect oil, Pete and his crew embark on a whimsical journey across the Seven Seas of Storyland Canada, tasting oils from seven different merchants. Each sample falls short, until a memory of his mother’s kitchen leads Pete back to Merchant 5, an old gypsy woman who had once disappointed him.Upon revisiting her and mentioning his mother’s name, the merchant reveals the true olive oil Pete had been searching for all along. With joy, Pete purchases a full case and returns to his ship, where the crew celebrates with a flavorful meal. The story ends with Pete savoring the moment, declaring that the right olive oil makes a ship feel like home.
