The Early Bird Catches the Worm
Mrs. Robin searches from sunrise to noon, finding only tiny worms too small for her growing babies. Worried and tired, she pushes herself to look farther from the nest than ever before — hoping today will be the day she brings home a real meal.…
Mrs. Robin is doing her very best to feed her three hungry babies, but all she can find are tiny worms that barely make a snack. High in her balsam poplar nest, she worries constantly — about food, about safety, about every rustle of the wind. Determined to fill her children’s tummies, she sets out early one morning to search farther than she ever has before. Along the way, she discovers courage she didn’t know she had… and learns that sometimes the early bird really does catch the worm.
Meet Mrs. Robin
Mrs. Robin is a gentle, anxious mother who lives with her three babies in a nest high in a tall balsam poplar tree. She’s a bit of a worrywart — always watching the sky, always listening for danger, always trying to keep her little ones safe. She works tirelessly to find food for her family, even when the worms are scarce and her nerves are stretched thin. Her heart is big, her love is fierce, and she’ll do anything to make sure her babies grow strong.
