Meet Mitchell the Miner
Welcome to the “Meet Mitchell the Miner” page. I created Mitchell the Miner as part of my Canadian Trades/Professions Character Challenge.
Mitchell the Miner was born and raised in Sparwood, BC. He is a third generation miner. Even though it is dirty work, Mitchell loves his job. He loves the fact that he can go under the ground to places few people have ever seen.
Mitchell the Miner is solely devoted to his work. He began working in the mines since he graduated from high school, twenty years ago.
There have been talks over the years that the mine Mitchell the Miner works at, would be shutting down, because of its impact on the environment. Mitchell the Miner is trying to cope with that news and figure out what his next move is. He hopes the mine is will stay operating for a long time yet, but he knows chances of that are slim to none.
