Meet Racum Raccoon

Racum Raccoon was one of the very first characters I created. The reason I created him was because I love raccoons. Yes, I know, they are mischievous but I guess that is part of the reason I love them.

I remember I was in Lindsay, Ontario, on my way to see my dad and I saw a whole family of raccoons sitting in a tree. There were a couple of babies, who were only a few weeks old. I remember that they were so cute and adorable.

I will never forget seeing that family of raccoons. They weren’t the inspiration for my Racum Raccoon character but they did help instill my love of raccoons.

I created Racum Raccoon to show young children that there are good values and good morals still being used. Racum always seems to help out his friends. Racum’s best friends are Sly Fox and Mad Dog Wolf. Sly is the son of the police chief. Mad Dog is an orphan. His family abandoned him when he was young.

In each story I write about Racum, he always finds a way to help out others. He respects and adores his friends and they, in turn, respect and adore him.

Racum and his friends live in a forest. The forest is called the Big Dark Forest. It is lush with lots of tall oak and pine trees and you can smell the pine when you step on the many pine needles that are on the forest floor.

Racum lives with his parents in a big old oak tree. His mother is very loving and she takes good care of her son. Racum’s father works in the local saw mill. Racum respects his father because he works hard and no matter how tough things get, he always finds a way to provide for his family.

Racum attends school in the Big Dark Forest. His teacher is Mrs. Wise Owl. Mrs. Wise Owl is a very old teacher but she is a good teacher. Racum respects her very much.

There are a lot of good morals and values in the Racum Raccoon stories. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy writing and creating them.
