Caveman Jack Gives Mother Roses for Mother’s Day

“It is Mother’s Day,” said Caveman Jack, after counting the marks made on the wall of the cave. “I will have to do something nice for Mother today.”

Caveman Jack went outside. It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining bright. Caveman Jack could see his mother. She was standing in a field nearby. Caveman Jack could see that she was looking at all the colourful flowers.

A thought came to him. He remembered that Mother’s favourite flower was a rose. He also revealed that he came across a field the other day that was covered in roses. He remembered they were the biggest roses he had ever seen and also they were the most fragrant as well.

Caveman Jack picked a few of the roses, making sure he picked the biggest and the most colourful. He took them home and he saw an empty glass jar on a shelf. He put the roses into it and put some water in it. He set the jar onto the table and waited for Mother to see it.

“What is that beautiful smell?” asked Mother, coming into the cave.

“Happy Mother’s Day,” said Caveman Jack, pointing to the roses.

“Oh my!” exclaimed Mother. “They are absolutely beautiful. Thank you!”
