Unlucky Friday the 13th Turns Lucky

Unlucky Uncle Ungus woke up and looked at the calendar. He wasn’t very happy when he saw it was Friday the 13th. He knew it was just going to be an unlucky day for him.

Unlucky Uncle Angus was born on Friday the 13th and every day of his life so far had been unlucky. He knew this Friday the 13th was not going to be any better.

“I wish there was no such thing as Friday the 13th,” said Unlucky Uncle Ungus.

Unlucky Uncle Ungus got out of bed. He stepped onto the cold floor. He felt something sharp against his foot. He looked down and saw a nail sticking up. The mail stung for a minute but it didn’t break through his skin.

“At least I am okay,” said Unlucky Uncle Ungus to himself.

Unlucky Uncle Ungus went into the bathroom. He was looking at himself in the mirror and all of a sudden the mirror fell off the wall. It broke into a thousand pieces.

“More bad luck,” said Unlucky Uncle Ungus. “That is all I need.”

Unlucky Uncle Ungus wasn’t too upset about the broken mirror because he knew he was already having bad luck and to him, it wasn’t going to make that much difference if he had another seven years added onto that.

Unlucky Uncle Ungus decided he would go for a walk. It was a sunny day so far. He knew that would probably change with his hick so he wanted to enjoy the weather while he could.

As he was walking along, he saw a penny on the sidewalk. He bent over to pick it up.

“Maybe I am going to have some good luck after all,” said Unlucky Uncle Ungus, when he noticed it was still sunny outside. “I must have picked up a lucky penny.”

Moral of this Story:

  • Friday the 13th could be lucky.
  • Example: Unlucky Uncle Ungus picked up a penny on Friday the 13th and felt it could be lucky.
