Snow Fairy is Lost in the Snow

Lost in the Snow …

It was a nice winter day outside. Snow Fairy saw the sun shining when she looked out her kitchen window. She was very happy because for the past few weeks, it had been very cold.

“I think I should surprise my friend, Rambler Rabbit. “I think I will go visit him.”

Snow Fairy was grateful to Rambler. He was always there for her. He helped her to stay warm in the coldest winter days. He was so helpful and so kind to her.

Snow Fairy grabbed her coat and put on her boots. She set out down her driveway and turned left. She walked up the steep hill and then down the steep hill. At the bottom of the hill she turned right and walked for what seemed forever.

“It is getting cloudy,” said Snow Fairy, as she continued walking. “I hope it isn’t going to snow.”

As soon as the words came out of her mouth, the snow started.

“Oh dear,” said Snow Fairy, barely able to see a foot in front of her. “It sure is snowing out now.”

Snow Fairy kept walking. She really had no choice. She knew she was close to Rambler’s house. She came to a fork in the road. She knew she had to keep to the left but because it was snowing so bad, she was having a hard time seeing and she ended up taking the fork to the right.

“I should have been at Ramblers house by now,” said Snow Fairy. “I think I am lost.”

Snow Fairy turned around and started walking the other way. She kept walking but she didn’t recognize anything.

“I am so lost,” said Snow Fairy.

Snow Fairy didn’t know what to do. If she kept walking she knew she could just get further lost than she already was. She started to cry but then she saw a familiar face walking toward her.

“Rambler!” cried Snow Fairy. “How did you find me?”

“I went by your place and saw you weren’t home so I came looking for you,” said Rambler.

“I am so grateful to you,” said Snow Fairy, giving Rambler a big hug. “I wanted to surprise you.”

“It certainly is a nice surprise,” said Rambler. “Did you know you are almost in my backyard?”

“Oh my!” cried Snow Fairy. “How did that happen?”

“You must have went in a big circle,” said Rambler. “Let’s get you inside and get you warmed up.”

“I would love that,” said Snow Fairy.

“I thought you might,” said Rambler.
