Meet Chard Benning

Chard Benning comes to the garden and visits with the Fresh Veggie Family. He wanted to sing with Christopher Corn and Loud Garden. Chard had his own band, Winking Park, waiting for him when he arrived at the garden.

Christopher told Chard that Loud Garden was doing a concert on Labour Day weekend but they were the only band playing. Chard walked away, depressed. That night, it bothered Christopher so the next morning, he found Chard and after a very intense conversation about depression and suicide, Christopher invited Chard and Winking Park to play with him and Loud
Garden on Labour Day weekend.

Chard Benning is my tribute to the late Chester Bennington of the band Linkin Park. Chester died on July 20, 2017 on Chris Cornell’s birthday. The purpose of creating the Chard Benning character is to keep the memory of Chester Bennington alive.
