Meet Gourd

Gourd came to the garden on October 18, 2017, after his life on Earth ended. He wanted to collaborate with Christopher Corn and Loud Garden.

Christopher praises Gourd for the music he created when he was alive and on Earth. Gourd hopes that his music will not be forgotten. Christopher tells Gourd that because he is in the garden now, he will be able to continue working on his music. Gourd is very happy about that. In the garden, Gourd has a band waiting for him, “The Broken Hip”.

My character, “Gourd” is my tribute to the late Gord Downie of the Canadian rock band, “The Tragically Hip”. Gord died on October 18, 2017. He had a rare form of brain cancer.

The purpose of me creating my character, Gourd, is to keep the memory of Gord Downie and his music alive.
