Angry Cat is Thankful for a Full Food Bowl

Thankful for a Full Food Bowl …

“Something smells so good,” said Angry Cat, coming into the kitchen. “Is that turkey?”

“Of course it is turkey,” said Angry Cat’s sister, Harriet. “It is Thanksgiving.”

“Oh,” said Angry Cat. “I love Thanksgiving!”

“You just like all the food we get to eat,” said Harriet, laughing.

“I do,” said Angry Cat.

Just then Harriet and Angry Cat saw a stray cat out in the field across from their house.

“That poor cat,” said Harriet. “I am glad we are not stray cats.”

“Me too,” said Angry Cat.

“We are so lucky,” said Harriet. “We always have food in our bowls.”

Harriet and Angry Cat both enjoyed a little taste of turkey and gravy for their Thanksgiving dinner. Angry Cat saved a little bit of his and the next time he saw the stray cat, he fed it to him.

“Thank you,” said the stray cat.

Angry cat took a good look at the stray cat. He noticed he was missing some fur and that most of his fur was matted.

“What are you thankful for?” asked Harriet, that night before bed. “I am thankful we have a warm place to sleep.”

“I am thankful for a full food bowl and that we don’t have to always search for our next meal,” said Angry Cat.

“I agree,” said Harriet.
